If there had been no crash...

I often wonder where Stephanie would be if there never was a plane crash. I still see her in Mesa with at least 3-4 more children, a semi-popular Mormon Mommy blog, and a pretty uneventful life.

Do you think she would be happy with that life or do you think that even though she went through the unimaginable, she likes the attention and being in the limelight?

  1. Why are you so obsessed by them? To start an entire blog. Live and let live. You don't have to read her blog, no one is forcing you if you don't like it. This blog is so negative with the intention to just gossip on someone. It's sounds to me you are very jealous of Stephanie and her life!

  2. OMG you're so jelly..... why does everyone say that? what is there to be jealous of? Is it unfathomable that some people are just not ok with her grifting and entitlement? Her bigotry and distaste for anyone not like herself?

  5. I think that your guess is what I would guess. I don't know that she likes being in the limelight, though. I mean I'm sure she loves the freebies, but she gets lots of trolls & toadies and I'm sure that's a headache. I don't envy her, that's for sure. I wouldn't want everyone judging me or "adoring" me publicly all of the time.

She liked pretty things before the crash & now probably compensates even more with them since her appearance will never be the same. I wouldn't do things quite as she does but I don't know the whole story & I would rather live my simple life with my healthy body anyway. Sometimes I think it's over the top or I'll admit I'm a little jealous, but then I remind myself that I have a healthy body & none of the baggage of being famous & I'm happy to take my lot :)

I think most of your questions are fair and questions many people ask, it's unfortunate that people tend to be so polarized, as exhibited by the bizarre comments on this blog (and her Instagram). She is just a person, and actually an overall nice one. Imperfect, yes. Saint, no. Evil liar, no. Just a person.

  7. This is awful. She just had a miscarriage. She has painful burns all over her body. Her own child was scared of her and thought she was a monster for months. All children were scared of her many probably still are. She got a lot of attention because she is a good person. Another person in her situation (if still alive) who went through it sad and depressed would not be in the public eye. Who wants to hear about sad and depressed people? She was positive about it- after being in a coma for months- it is miraculous she came out of it. She came out of it with her family beside her. She determined to make the best of it. She didn't seek after any sort of fame. Happiness doesn't make news in our society very often today. I would rather have my children look up to someone with that outlook than someone who is bitter and vengeful. We all need positive people in our life. Yes, she gets paid to be a spokesperson for products because people want her promoting their products because she is inspiring to many. People who get paid to advertise things are not bad people- they are lucky because someone finds their platform worth paying for. Does she want her old life back? That isn't a fair question to ask. In true faithful fashion, she has taken crappy black moldy lemons and made them into slightly fermented lemonade. Like all of us- we are handed hard things and its hard to say what we would have done without those hard things because they have helped make us more charitable, or more open to change or more understanding of faults. I am pretty certain though nobody on earth would have chosen being burnt from head to toe and becoming a millionaire over leading a happy simple life in quiet comfort.
